Mustard Vinaigrette

2 cloves crushed garlic
4 Tablespoons red vinegar
2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme)
1 teaspoon sugar
2/3 cup olive oil
2 Tablespoons water
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Whisk together.
